Human Rights Management Policy

In its commitment to upholding the value of respecting human rights, Dongseo supports the protection of human rights and labor standards set forth by international organizations such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO, and the Declaration in Fundamental Principles and Right at Work and therefore affirms the following human right policy:

Basic Policy

  • Respecting the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, we acknowledge the inherent dignity of all human beings. This includes rights such as life and physical security, freedom of thought, expression, and religion, freedom of association, family and private life, access to food and water, freedom from torture, slavery or forced labor and the right to fair and decent working conditions, as well as non-discrimination.
  • Thus, we commit to taking appropriate measures to prevent violations of human rights and to address any adverse impacts on human rights arising from our business activities.
  • For this purpose, all employees and executives hereby comply with the following recommendations related to human rights management to live up to the expectation of the stakeholders to its fullest extent.
    • We adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internationally recognized human rights standards in all areas of operation. We make sure that all transactions are conducted impartially based on the mutual respect and equal relationships and support our suppliers in complying with laws and regulations related to fair trade.
    • In cases where conflicting regulations exist in local countries, we should find ways to comply with global human rights standards.
    • For risks that may lead to serious human rights violations, we take them as critical management issues.
